Pepper Lunch has been growing up with me for long time. I still remember those days when we enjoyed Pepper Lunch from the food court in Mid Valley and they had expanded to more outlets in Klang Valley. This time, we are happy to know that Pepper Lunch had expanded their wings to our neighborhood mall- KL East Mall. For those who are not aware, Pepper Lunch is a Japanese “fast-steak” restaurant franchise popular in the Tokyo area. And in here, one can enjoy their awesome delights where the wholesome meal is cook using metal plates that are heated up to 260 degrees Celsius. And in here, one can enjoy the wholesome meals at PepperLunch where they have loads of offers to provide.

Inspired by the rich and diverse culinary offerings from China, especially from the regions of Shanghai, Szechuan, Beijing and Lanzhou, Dragon-i Restaurant Sdn Bhd, was established in 2004. Shortly after, the first Dragon-i outlet opened at Mid Valley Megamall, offering signature dishes such as xiao long bao (Shanghainese steamed meat dumplings) and la mian (hand-pulled noodles), traditional dishes proudly preserved by the Chinese over thousand of years. Each delicacy is prepared by highly-skilled chefs from mainland China using top quality ingredients to ensure authenticity in both presentation and taste. The name of the restaurant in Chinese, ‘LONG TI CHUAN REN’, is derived from a combination of phonetics and facts. Historically, the Chinese are referred to as the descendants of the Dragon (LONG), pronounced as the name of the restaurant. However, the strokes for the character ‘LONG’ represent that of the restaurant’s signature delicacy, the xiao ‘long’ bao. This is more than mere coincidence and aptly conveys the significance of serving authentic cuisine from ancient China.

The American Blues, the quintessential element of the American Midwest that tells the historical journey of modern America today. Developed when ex-slave African American migrated to the north during the Great Migration in the early 50s to cities like Chicago, these acoustic cum harmonica-based bluesy-jazz tunes started as street-corner based music. Soon though, the music gained massive popularity and spread across America with the same energy as its advocates. With as much vigor as the music that accompanied them, the workers also introduced their own style of cuisine, spinning their Delta blues whilst venturing into their life's other passion: Food. Or, more specifically, good ol' fashioned barbecued pork ribs, with an extra dose of charming Southern hospitality! And so the essence of Morganfield's began. Morganfield's combines life's two greatest passions: music and great soul food. At the heart of Morganfield's is it signature dish –"Sticky Bones" – a truly authentic, old-fashioned, prime pork ribs slow-cooked and smoked in coal and hickory wood to tender mouthwatering perfection, then basted with the gluey sweet-and-sour- tomato based home-made mopping sauce. A perfect accompaniment with good blues music and great friends! During some nights at Morganfield's, you can sense the original toe-tapping excitement of the roaring 50's, venturing back to times when life was stress free and great music and food reigned, easing the long summer's day.

Din Tai Fung Dumpling House focused on achieving steady improvement in quality and in the level of service that the restaurant provided. The restaurant was soon winning rave reviews from all over the world, and laudatory articles in food magazines and in the newspapers contributed to Din Tai Fung’s growth. Today not only does Din Tai Fung remain popular with ordinary consumers, a visit to the restaurant is also a must for members of the business and political elite, and for international celebrities. In an article published on January 17, 1993, the New York Times rated Din Tai Fung as one of the top ten gourmet restaurants in the world (Din Tai Fung was the only Chinese-run restaurant to receive this accolade). Further international recognition came in 2010, when Din Tai Fung’s Hong Kong Branch was awarded one Michelin Star, this is a very special honor, as no other Taiwanese restaurant has ever won a Michelin Star before. The sense of achievement was shared by Din Tai Fung’s main branch in Taiwan and by Din Tai Fung’s other branches around the world. Din Tai Fung Dumpling House has branches in Japan, United States, South Korea, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, and Thailand. While continuing to maintain its high popularity in Taiwan, Din Tai Fung is now giving people throughout the world the opportunity to experience a classic “taste of Taiwan”.

Having steamboat in a cold weather would be one of the best choice. Being in Genting Highlands, we had finally entered one of the delicious Steamboat Restaurant called – Beauty In The Pot ( 美滋锅).The Singaporean Brand Steamboat Restaurant under Paradise Group of Restaurant would definitely won’t disappoint you with the luxurious steamboat. Why it is called beauty in the Pot is because their broth is full with collagen where they added in premium ingredients to the soup to enrich the taste and the effect as well. And this place is simply a long queue where we are there around 12 pm and the queue with at least 20- 30 pax. And this restaurant added some love to their hotpot restaurant where they have a play area for the kids to play and run around. So, it would not be too bored for the kids to wait as well as not bugging you all the time.

Bringing you with the famous seafood joint where it is highly anticipated and earning loads of reviews even before it is officially launched. The restaurant is one of the restaurants which is packed with patrons in Sky Avenue where you will be amazed people are queuing up to get a try of them. And this round, we are glad to have this opportunity to dine in Burger & Lobsters and the food here is not overpriced as many had set. It is indeed worth to wait for where you can enjoy the fresh lobster caught directly from the tank to serve to your plate and of course with the experienced chef handling the food for you.

After the success of their opening of the first outlet in Paradigm Mall, they had opened their second outlet in Bangsar Village. The outlet is cozier and family feel to me when entered in to them compared to their first outlet which is extravaganza- with the huge Buddha statue in the restaurant itself. With the beautiful interior, exclusive table ware, Paradise Dynasty is a place to visit for a decent meal with family and friends.
