We recently had the pleasure of dining at Belly & The Chef, a charming and cozy restaurant located in OUG. Chef Nigen who formally is the co-founder of the casual French restaurant – Rendez-Vouz who opens this lovely place. It is indeed a great ambiance and also what makes it even better is they served authentic and yet affordable French Delights.
Set in a casual but elegant setting, Brasserie Léon is the celebration of the Classic French Steak & Fries served with a secret signature sauce, a favourite and almost considered national dish in France. Other French's favourites, Roasted Chicken, Melted Raclette Cheese, and a concise selections of bites and desserts complete the menu without interfering with the simplicity that Brasserie Léon wants to convey!

Plaza 33 had recently opened a new café –Patisserie RUI II where they had opened back 2 days ago. Located at the ground floor of the working place just next to Coliseum 1921, here you go with the great café. The café had not really operated yet at this moment as the menu is not really finalized and available. As for now, they have some cakes and pastries to cater for some sweet bites lover like me.
Paul Lafayet is one of my favourite pasteries and my mind keep thinking about their awesome macarons, and also their crème brulee. Their French chef has acquired the savoir-faire of making every piece of heavenly delicacy by only iusing the finest ingredients like French chocolate, flour, cream and Spanish almond etc. Every piece of artisan pastry is 100% natural, freshly handmade every day and preservative free.
During my trip back to Penang, we are being invited by Asiatique to try off their new menu. Asiatique Kitchen & Lounge is located at the new shoplots in Tanjung Tokong. The casual and yet classy restaurant bring us with the twist of Asian flavors into French cooking techniques creates a unique tantalizing food experience. At Asiatique Kitchen & Lounge Penang, the trend has also been to mix different cultural influences from around the world. However, the styles tend to be more closely linked with fusion food combining these different flavours and techniques on the one plate. Chef Aldrien aims to lead his team in creating exciting new flavours that is to rock the Penang food scene by storm.
