Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea is a light meal typically eaten between 4 pm and 6 pm. Observance of the custom originated amongst the wealthy classes in England in the 1840s. For the more privileged, afternoon tea was accompanied by delicate savouries (customarily cucumber sandwiches or egg and cress sandwiches), bread and butter, possibly scones (with clotted cream and jam, as for cream tea), and usually cakes and pastries (such as Battenberg cake or Victoria sponge). The sandwiches usually have the crusts removed, and are cut into small segments, either as triangles or fingers (also known as tea sandwiches).

The savoury bites includes the signature dashi maki, pumpkin korokke, salted egg chicken karaage and the assorted onigiri. After some savoury bites, one can go for their Matcha Panna Cotta, Fruity Lemon Mousse Tartlett, Assorted Macaroons, Assorted Mochi and the Snowslide Choco Lava Cake. We love the creamy and delicious Choco Lava Cake which comes with the perfect to our tastebuds. It is not too sweet but the creamy chocolate blend is so tempting and would love to order another one. The macaroons which are served comes not too sweet and the crust comes light with a little chewy and crispy texture.
